Biodata: Robert Kaproth is the U.S. Treasury Department’s Deputy Assistant Secretary for Asia, with oversight of U.S Treasury policy throughout the Asia Pacific, including East Asia, Southeast Asia, and Australia-New Zealand. He has served at the Treasury Department since 1998, with other positions including Director of Treasury’s Office of East Asia, Treasury’s Financial Attaché in Tokyo, and Director of Treasury’s Office of International Monetary Policy. Kaproth is a Chartered Financial Analyst, and holds a masters degree from Georgetown University.
