Event Details

According to recent global trends, it is predicted that by 2030 nearly all population growth will be absolved by cities. Are Malaysia's urban systems ready?

AMCHAM, in partnership with the U.S. Embassy in Kuala Lumpur, invite you to participate in the first Malaysia-U.S. Smart Cities Symposium on Thursday, 20 June from 9.00am to 4.00pm (registration starts from 8:30am) at the Four Seasons Hotel Kuala Lumpur.

We are delighted to confirm that YB Tuan Gobind Singh Deo, Minister of Communications and Multimedia, will provide the Keynote Address. The Honorable Kamala Shirin Lakhdhir, U.S. Ambassador to Malaysia, has agreed to provide Opening Remarks alongside Mr. Eric Jones, Chief of Staff, Overseas Private Investment Corporation (OPIC). Click here to learn more about OPIC.

This event will also welcome Smart City representatives from Kuala Lumpur, Johor Bahru, Selangor, and Cyberjaya.
